Trump is detached, and you can't fix that.
It's not cute anymore, Republicans. The President of the United States is completely detached from reality, and you can't fix that. You can't cover it up, you can't explain it away, and let me make this as clear as I possibly can for you. You cannot possibly undo the damage you are doing to the party brand by trying to pretend this man is anything other than completely unhinged. I'm watching Sean Hannity borrow guests from the Alex Jones show in an attempt to bolster Trump's conspiratorial claims. I'm seeing relatively mainstream conservatives make themselves look like the crazed fringes of the paranoid right wing. Don't believe me? Look at this.

Will it really happen?
Saturday morning a friend of mine on Facebook was talking about how President Trump was keeping all of his promises. He brought up the Keystone Pipeline. It was interesting to me because I heard a Trump surrogate on CNN talking about how Trump was keeping all of his promises, and she too brought up the Keystone Pipeline. Now understand that at this point it would be silly for me to say that he hasn't kept his promise because the pipes aren't in the ground with oil flowing through them. This caused me to wonder if Trump's supporters actually know what he has done on the pipeline, because if they did they should see that it's equally silly to claim that Trump has kept his promise on that subject. First, let's look at some of the language in the executive order that he signed on the subject.

When in doubt, make it up.
As Trump has said, the level of violence in Chicago is through the roof. Last month, they had 40 murders in 22 days. 6 people were shot at a memorial for another victim of the gun violence on Wednesday. Despite last years spike in the murder rate, this year has gotten off to an even more violent start, with more murders-to-date than the city had seen in nearly 20 years. It's sad to see what is going on there, and President Trump has even talked about sending federal law enforcement to clean the mess up. One would think that with all of this violence and mayhem, the President wouldn't feel the need to invent murders that didn't happen. One would be wrong.

Let the InfoWars begin.
Perhaps you may have seen this headline from InfoWars and wondered how much truth there was to it. It makes a bold and powerful claim about one of the last acts of the Obama Presidency. "Obama Quietly Signs The ‘Countering Disinformation And Propaganda Act’ Into Law Just like that, the US Ministry of Truth is officially born", it reads. By searching the headline, you can find numerous instances of the article that are all copies and pastes of the original writing, so it is hard to definitively state who the original source of this article really is, but the larger question would be, simply put, is it true? Spoiler alert. The simple answer is "no". It is loosely based in fact then expanded upon with falsehoods. For starters though, let's look at the definition of the two words.

Is President Obama too soft?
Finally, someone is lashing out at President Obama for his comments on football. The Boston Globe today lit into the President, calling his recent musings "passive" and accusing him of "punting the football." In short, Mr. President, football is a man's sport. There is no room for girls in this game, and sissy little side-step answers will not be tolerated. If you want to talk about retired ballerina's getting arthritis, then you can come with lame answers like you gave to the New Republic. But if you want to talk about football, you need to man up and sound off like you have a pair. Now I'm sure some of you dames out there want to lash out at me for such a sexist viewpoint, but we are talking about football after all, and girls don't matter in football so who cares what you think? Let's get to what Obama thinks.

Yes, it is worse than you think.
My fellow Conservatives often tend to complain that the left leaning media isn't telling the full story, and nowhere are their claims more amplified right now than in the Benghazi debacle in Libya. They point out that the media by and large ignored this story, and now they focus merely on the sex scandal surrounding David Petraeus. While I usually feel that these complaints are a bit overstated, this whole scenario in Libya has got me scratching my head, but not just because of the media coverage. I'm beginning to wonder if I am the only one that saw what just happened.

It looks like Steve Parry has known what he was talking about all along.
After the recent election, some of my friends on Facebook who supported President Obama bristled at my commentary on what we had observed. I even had one tell me that I was a "sore loser" when a discussion of Government phones saw these devices labeled as "Obama Berry" and I replied that such a device obviously wasn't a "smart phone." Now obviously, some of my comments were in jest. Others, such as the collective IQ of those who supported the President's reelection were not. Think about it. In the first election, then Senator Obama ran against a Government that failed because of the President. In round 2, President Obama ran against a Government that failed because of the Congress. You follow?

Richard Mourdock fires up left with controversial rape comment.
It can't be a great political issue if it doesn't have a great name, and few modern issues have a better name than WOW (War On Women). Why, it would almost seem a little too good to be true, wouldn't it? If I didn't know any better, I would think that the whole thing had been made up in a left wing spin room, but I digress. This is no time to get off on rabbit trails about how a name was concocted. There is genuine phony outrage out there, and something needs to be done. First off, we need to know what Mourdock said.
