Forgive me for using my favorite saying, but I'm not saying, I'm just saying. I allow one to insert their own title here, but let me run with a few suggestions. Consider this a bonus round from The Axis of Stevil. I am going to write three separate and different takes on this here, feel free to pick your favorite in the comments.

Obama Backs Away From Radical Attacks On The Bible

President Barack Obama, who once called the Sermon on the Mount a "radical" passage, has backed away from these inflammatory statements by suggesting he would model his economic policy after the passage. This was an attempt to reach out to Christians who may have felt slighted by his insistance that the "IHS" symbol (a symbol of Jesus) be covered up behind him before he spoke. This was seen by many people of faith as an attempt to reach out to Islam. It is not yet known how those same people may respond to this obvious attempt to reach out to them.

There we go. Headline and story number one. Rather nice, I would say. It gives the President the benefit of the doubt.  My second offering will be somewhat less modest. Here we go.

Obama Attempts To Destroy Defense Department

Before he was elected President, Barack Obama had once lamented that the Sermon on the Mount was a passage "so radical it is doubtful our own Defense Department would survive it's application". Now, President Obama has vowed to use this very passage as the model for our economy. This is clearly an attempt to destroy our Defense Department. Not wanting to come out and say this directly, he found a way to sneak it in the back door by applying it to the Economy and letting it collapse our Defense from there.

Settle down, lefties. Obviously I am joking. But seriously, how fickle can one man be? Suggestion. Once you have attacked and berated a particular document, it is probably not a good idea to then use this document to describe your agenda. This leads me to my third article within the article. This entry, of course, is entirely fictitious.

Realizing His Bible Gaffe, Obama Turns To Another Parable To Sell His Economic Plan

The White House today released a revised version of President Obama's economic address at Georgetown University. Blaming the teleprompter, Obama apologized for siting "radical passages of scripture" in his speech, and submitted the following revised version of the speech for your parusal. It follows.

"I am reminded of a story I once read somewhere. It was a story of three little pigs. You see, these pigs wanted to build houses. The problem was, one of the little pigs was a mean spirited Republican. This pig quickly snagged up all of the bricks and built his house, leaving the other pigs to build with straw and sticks. Now when the wolf came by, he was able to quickly knock down the first two houses. The third pig, safely inside his brick house, never had to feel the effects of the evil wolf."

"My economic policy will spread the bricks around. I intend to ensure that all Americans have some bricks, and no Americans have all bricks. It is only then that we will all be equally vulnerable to the wolf. It is only then that we can say that we have achieved true equality."

Now that the fun part is over, let me address this issue of the stage. CNS News reported that "Georgetown University says it covered over the monogram “IHS”--symbolizing the name of Jesus Christ—because it was inscribed on a pediment on the stage where President Obama spoke at the university on Tuesday and the White House had asked Georgetown to cover up all signs and symbols there." “In coordinating the logistical arrangements for yesterday’s event, Georgetown honored the White House staff’s request to cover all of the Georgetown University signage and symbols behind Gaston Hall stage,” Julie Green Bataille, associate vice president for communications at Georgetown, told CNSNews.com.

Is it any surprise that Obama tramples on the Christian World fresh back from his Muslim Apology World Tour? I like the words of an anonymous Professor from Georgetown on the issue. "Better to be true to God than to Caesar. I fear the University sought the favor of the wrong King - shame on us."

    Watered Down Travel Ban

I have some friends and family who supported President Trump from early on in the process. From time to time they will ask me when I will admit that I was wrong about him. "If Trump does x... If Trump gets y... If Trump supports a policy that results in z... will you admit that you were wrong?" My answer is always "no", because I wasn't wrong. To be clear, I could be wrong in practical application, but that isn't what an election is about. Elections are about theory and speculation and, generally speaking about judging records. Trump had no record to speak of, and his history of stances on issues was all over the map. I opposed his candidacy for several major reasons, all of which are proven valid in this single issue we now refer to as the "travel ban". Here were my reasons.

    Fraudulent Rant by Judge Jeanine

If you're not familiar with Justice with Judge Jeanine, it is a show on the FOX News Network starring Jeanine Pirro. She is known for her over-the-top rants where she serves up gobs of fresh red meat for her largely hard right wing audience. While it's not unusual for her to be a little fast and loose with the facts, she has been known to occasionally return from the break with a correction from her producers. Last night, however, there was no such correction to an outright lie she told on the show, and the matter being discussed should have (at the very least) contained a disclaimer from the host. I would cut her some slack, but as a former prosecutor and judge, she should be well aware of what proper protocol should have been here.

  • Wake The Hell Up, GOP!

    Wake The Hell Up, GOP!

It's not cute anymore, Republicans. The President of the United States is completely detached from reality, and you can't fix that. You can't cover it up, you can't explain it away, and let me make this as clear as I possibly can for you. You cannot possibly undo the damage you are doing to the party brand by trying to pretend this man is anything other than completely unhinged. I'm watching Sean Hannity borrow guests from the Alex Jones show in an attempt to bolster Trump's conspiratorial claims. I'm seeing relatively mainstream conservatives make themselves look like the crazed fringes of the paranoid right wing. Don't believe me? Look at this.
