Security Alive And Well For Some
I don't ask for this stuff, folks. It just happens this way. Irony abounds right now. I'm sure it will slow down at some point, but while it is here, let's run with it. What have we learned in the last few days?
- Waterboarding is an effective way of getting information to thwart terrorist attacks.
- Waterboarding is an effective way of getting information to identify and capture other terrorists.
- Waterboarding is just way to much effort to go to for us commoners.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, an airplane makes its way into the restricted airspace surrounding Washington D.C. This is a potential threat of terrorism. So what, pray tell, do the lefties who just determined us peasants to be unworthy of security do? Well, in the words of Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, they of course exercise an "abundance of caution".
Now of course, since Pelosi was revealed to be on the record as having no issues with waterboarding prior to the election of Dear Leader, she personally carried on with her typical day of Spackling her face and not blinking, right? Wrong. Congress went into recess and ducked for the cover that they had just pulled out from over our collective head. President Obama, who is scared to death of in any way offending Islam said "We need to move on from the old politics of fear and division" and carried on with his typical day of inspecting the White House windows, right? Wrong. All of the sudden, he no longer seemed worried that perhaps the Muslim World might be offended that his administration might suggest that their tactic had once again been deployed. He went into hiding as well.
Now in fairness, they did clear the mere mortals off the north lawn. How gracious of our leader, wouldn't you say? That out of the way, my hand is raised. And no, it is not to pledge allegiance to the Czar. I have a question for dear leader. How come the standard protocol that was responsible for saving the lives of thousands in L.A. isn't good enough for me anymore, yet when it comes to your Royal hind end caution can be found in abundance. I'm not asking you to go out of your way here or anything. Just maybe you could kick that one around with your On The Job Training Czar when you both get out of your respective bunkers.
