Franco Fired, Kutcher Quieted

At this point, I would like to declare that the verdict is in on Joe Paterno. Well, not so much on Joe. But it is on saying anything good about him. Score another point for the huddled masses yearning to be ignorant. Yes, I know that is a bit harsh, but even when the defense attorney for Sandusky allegedly produces the boy from the shower scene who is telling the same story that everybody except McQueary is telling, they are not deterred. It's either a hoax from the lawyer, the boy is lying, or Sandusky brainwashed him and he is covering for him. Isn't it even slightly possible that everyone but McQueary is telling the truth? "Of course not", they scoff.
So, the beat goes on, and the scandal has claimed it's latest victim. Pittsburgh Steelers legend and former Penn State player Franco Harris has now been fired by the Casino he represented for speaking up for Joe Paterno. Yes, apparently this Casino has a morality clause in the contract. You know, because a fine, upstanding business in a family oriented industry like gambling can't be seen having just any old person running around representing them. And of course, defending an 84 year old man from the angry and irrational mobs with torches and pitchforks is just the type of behavior that can't be tolerated. Seriously, what might Franco do next? Keep a group of unruly teens from kicking an old lady down a flight of steps? Clearly, all ties had to be severed, and here is the official statement from Meadows Race Track and Casino.
"In light of the recent developments with Franco Harris regarding Joe Paterno's dismissal, Franco and The Meadows have mutually decided to put their business relationship on hold at this time, while these matters are looked into further," a release said.
Franco's comments that brought on this action can be seen in the video below.

Meanwhile, even Ashton Kutcher has fallen victim to the mobs. He sent out a tweet upon Paterno's firing stating “How do you fire Jo P? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste,”. From now on, Kutcher's publicist will be tweeting for him.
