As you should know as a veteran, which I myself am, the supposition was not that Obama ordered him to go, although he did. I volunteered to serve in the U.S.M.C. I was not ordered to by the first Pres. Bush, I volunteered. However, upon volunteering, I was given many orders to carry out. I also had to give orders to those that I outranked.

In a wartime situation, this Major would be carrying out orders and passing them along to his juniors. If it could be proven that he knew that the origin of these orders was not a lawful source, he could be subjected to prosecution.

President Obama has claimed credit (and rightfully so) for increasing troop presence in Afghanistan. Thus, they are there on his orders. As Commander in Chief, he is responsible. This is the same argument he uses to threaten prosecution against Bush. So yes, his case did have merit, and that is why this Administration chose not to fight it. A short form and a newspaper clipping aren\'t enough to swindle a judge. - trlrtrash13

Just a heads up.

As a veteran who happens to be a liberal, I got no compassion for a chicken shit major who doesn\'t have the balls to honor the commitment HE made when HE swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, not to mention that HE volunteered for afgan duty. Which means his lawsuit wouldn\'t have held water anyway due to the fact that Obama didn\'t order him to go to begin with.

But WND isn\'t going to tell you that part, it doesn\'t make them any MONEY to do so. - Mike
