I was picking up a load at TLC in Kalamazoo, Mi. and they have one of those motivational posters on the wall in the break room. Here it is.
Teamwork
Teamwork: There is no such thing as a self made man. You cannot achieve your goals without the help of others.
Now at first, this seems like a pretty good poster. You have a man on to of the one rock, helping the other man get up there. It seems highly unlikely that he could get up there on his own. Until you stop and think... how did the other guy get up there?
Now it is possible that somebody else helped him up there. Maybe he was dropped in from a helicopter, who knows? But the poster doesn't exactly convey that message. That saying would be better placed under a team of dead synchronized swimmers floating in the water because they all had to drown because one of them did.
Then you have the guy that says "There is no 'I' in 'Team'". To which I reply, "well, there is no 'U' either". I'm not trying to put down teamwork here, just stupid sayings. I saw a billboard last week for a food bank that said "Bringing hope to the hungry for 35 years". Shouldn't they be bringing them food instead?
In a construction zone you will see a sign that says "Use Extreme Caution". Isn't caution the lack of going to extremes? Someone says "You can't be too careful", so I say "Then shut up, or you might injure your vocal cords".
My latest pet peeve is "Buy One, Get One" or BOGO. I get one every time I buy one. If I bought one, but I didn't get one, I come back with the receipt and say "Hey, I bought one but I didn't get one". It's buy one, get one free.
Or how about "Now, more than ever"? Now is a part of ever. Now cannot possibly be more than ever. It is "Now more than ever before". It's like 2 in 1 shampoo. You can't fit 2 in 1. 1 wasn't big enough for 2, that's why they had to make 2.

Don't ask me how you are supposed to find anything in that mess, or where in the word they got all of those books, but that is one heck of a collection.
This pack rats dream stretches the entire length of the hallway from the IHOP down to the diesel island. I suppose if you are looking for a deal on a book, and hope to burn the entire afternoon finding that particular title, this would be the place to go.

Devil's Slide is an unusual geological formation located in northern Utah's Weber Canyon, near the community of Croydon in Morgan County, Utah, United States. The slide consists of two parallel limestonestrata that have been tilted to lie vertical, protruding 40 feet (12 m) out of the mountainside. Intervening layers have eroded more quickly, forming a channel some 25 feet (7.6 m) wide running hundreds of feet down the mountain.
