Best Answer - Chosen by Asker yes people on welfare should be drug tested. honest, non drug adicted people work hard for that money that the government give away. not im not saying that those people dont need the money, but if some of them would stop using their money for dope and shit they wouldnt need to tit suck off the government.

Hey, I'm all for privacy and personal liberty, but in this case I would have to say yes. If the government is going to take money from one citizen to hand it to another, they should first make sure that other person is using it responsibly. I would like to see guidelines much like those that are used with truckers. A drug test would be required before receiving assistance. Then, there should be random tests given monthly, and testing should also be used in cases where there is reasonable suspicion of drug use.
