A Few Quick Updates

Here are a few quick updates on some stories I have been following.

Birth Certificate News

Two updates here. First, WND is reporting that Army Major Stefan Frederick Cook has been fired from his job after winning his case against his deployment orders based on his claim that President Obama is not a natural born citizen and hence is not legally authorized to serve.

According to the CEO of Simtech Inc., a private company located in Tampa, Fla., and contracted by the Defense Security Services, an agency of the Department of Defense, the federal government has compelled the termination of Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook.

Cook's attorney, Orly Taitz, wrote in her blog that Simtech CEO Larry Grice said he would try to find another position within the company for Cook, but nothing is currently available.

The Department of Defense does contracting in the general field of information technology/systems integration, at which Cook, a senior systems engineer and architect, was employed until taking a military leave of absence on July 10 in preparation for his deployment to Afghanistan.

"Grice told plaintiff, in essence, that the situation had become 'nutty and crazy,' and that plaintiff would no longer be able to work at his old position," Taitz wrote.

Grice made clear that it was Defense Security Services that had compelled Simtech to fire Cook, Taitz wrote.

On the same front,  Modern Ghana news has changed their article (pictured below) that declared President Obama's trip to Africa to be a return to the Continent of his birth. The updated article now reads that it is the Continent "of his father's birth". In addition, they highlighted this edit in the new article. A little pressure perhaps?

Obama Afircan Birth

In The Garden

In an ironic twist, the CSPC is poised to impose new rules that would ban the use of lead in children's toys except in "very, very small amounts". No word on if the agency plans to stop Michelle Obama from serving her lead riddled vegetables to her children and the charitable organizations that have been receiving the tainted produce.

 Glenn Beck

I was listening to Glenn Beck's radio show this morning when he made the statement that "For the first time in his life he has real clear vision". Of course, he continues to promote his new book that was written back when he apparently had blurry vision?

Randi Rhodes

I don't know how many of you have heard of the Randi Rhodes show, but you should really check it out. Sure, she is a left wing moon bat progressive, but it can be very entertaining. I called in last week to chat with her about the Sotomayor hearings, and quickly came to the realization that her call screener is the loneliest person in show business. I called in first just to have the screener pass some word along to Randi about an obvious inaccurate fact she was repeatedly stating on the air by claiming that all of the justices that had ever served on the Supreme Court other than the two women  were "pasty old white guys". I got in first try, no busy signal. When I called about twenty minuets later, same result. I also got on the air right away and got her to admit that she feels that if a white man were to declare that he would come to a better conclusion than a Latina woman, he would be racist. Yet somehow, Sotomayor is not. Talk about White Guilt. Anyway...

This week she was asked by a caller if she could name anything that the Government could run cheaper than private industry. She declared that the Postal Service was just the thing, stating that if private industry was providing mail service, it would be much more expensive. The call ended as she went to a commercial break that started with her voice advertising a website called Stamps.com, a private industry that has a contract with the U.S.P.S. that allows them to sell postage cheaper than the Post Office does. You were saying?
